A Day In The Life

Hello, Gourd-Geous

Have you often wondered what the difference is between gourds and squash? I thought so! • Squash is grown for food, to eat; whereas Gourds are ornamental and grown for decorative purposes; and Pumpkins can be either! • Who helps young winter squash cross the road safely? The Crossing Gourd, of course! • I’ve blipped these birdhouse gourds before but it’s been awhile. See how they’ve grown! It’s our first attempt growing them and they’ll be ready to harvest after the first hard frost • What veggie does a gourd become when an elephant steps on it? Squash! • After we harvest them they’ll need to dry which can take 6-8 months • What indoor sport do gourds play when it’s snowing outside? Winter Squash :) • Once dry we will make birdhouses out of them. There are lots of videos available online • How do you fix a gourd? With a pumpkin patch, Silly! • Oh, my gourd, no more gourd jokes, Louise!!
