Water, water everywhere……

We had been on holiday for ten days and this was our first wet day; not bad for Scotland in September. In fact it was only a wet half day and by the time we had lunch at the Phoenix Cafe at the Findhorn Community the sky was clearing.

We were intrigued by the architecture of the building which housed the cafe (first extra) with its beautiful stonework and wild flower roof. The second extra shows the beautiful phoenix mosaic which was set into the pavement around the building.

It is quite a few years since we were last in this area and the village of Findhorn was much busier than previous visits. The beautiful beach was “crowded” with dogs and their humans so we added to the throng. However, I did manage to sneak a shot of an apparently deserted shore, looking north across the Moray Firth.
