Summer rose

The rose Gavin brought home from the allotment yesterday evening has opened up beautifully this morning. He also brought home a bag of apples & pears. Last week, he traded pears for eggs & we had the last of the raspberries. Extras go into work to share and to the local food bank for redistribution. We’re not alone in doing this; over the last week in work, I’ve picked up grapes & plums from two homes, at just the point we finished our home-grown plums.

Home-harvest time is great & sharing is even better!
