Pier Pandemonium!

Went into Worthing to do a bit of shopping this morning and I took this photo from a raised area by the multi-storey car park. You can get an idea of the amount of traffic along the sea-front. General congestion, lots of pedestrian crossings to get caught at, also people reverse parking by the side of the road straight towards the oncoming traffic! Also in the photo you can see one of our straggly little "palm" trees demonstrating that Worthing is not perhaps the balmy haven that the Council were hoping it was! These trees were planted all along the sea-front about a decade ago and there are still a few survivors. The pier and the sea looked nice though!

We spent some vouchers that I had from Christmas time in Marks and Spencer and also had a really good latte and spicy iced buns in their cafe. I think they take longer to produce the coffee in there than they do in Costa, which is saying something! Worth waiting for though.

Have put my old trousers on in anticipation of doing a bit of gardening in a minute. I want to prepare some ground to put some seeds in that I got free with Shredded Wheat cereal - some flowers that I'd never heard of, but they look pretty from the photo on the packet! Stuart's off to a school governors' meeting shortly. Very sunny here today, but a bit of a chilly wind.
