Thirst-day

Strava Day 477. Indoor yoga and reading done. Since it's raining here, took the time to prepare breakfast instead of using screens (developed the habit of leaving my phone elsewhere and even forgetting where I left it, a sign that I could function even without music).

Yesterday, T as per usual was giddy after a school day. He just learned about Roman Numerals. Delighted that he enjoys learning however slightly annoyed whenever he feels, acts and speaks as if he is the smartest person and whenever he uses the "I had a hard day/difficult day so I deserve this" card. We keep reminding him that values/character is still more important than getting excellent marks however as Gramps would tell us, it is better to let kids be kids and lead/teach by example/modeling.

Featured photo is a snapshot of "Meditations for Women Who Do Too Much" by Anne Wilson Schaef. In the background is our sundial. One of T's homework yesterday was to count things at home and represent them in both Roman Numerals and Hindu Arabic. He took it literally so he went around counting bins, cameras and clocks.

Thorversations:
P: What are Hindu Arabic numerals?
T: It's the regular way you write numbers! What happened to your brain cells??!
P: Aww. Already forgot that lesson. Remember, everyone at home has not been in school for years. We need Google to refresh our memory.
