Now, as I see it......

A Rookie Blip

A gardening day.  Lots of dead-heading done and plenty of weeding, although I have to say that as the new plants have grown and filled the space around them, there is much less weeding to do.  It was noticeable that whilst the ground is largely damp from the rain we have had over the last couple of weeks, the strip directly next to the garage is still bone dry; clearly the overhanging roof is stopping the rain from hitting the ground.  As that is where I have three fruit trees planted at least one of which looked as if it was suffering a little, I had to give it a good watering and will need to keep an eye on it in the future.

This 'rocking rook' was bought several years ago and as made, was designed to look weathered and rusty.  The original lacquer covering it has now worn off so now it's just weathered and rusty.
