Black Gold

This just had to be my blip today.  Emailed to us today....our son Aidan with his two jars of Marmite that I posted over to him.  The postage cost twice as much as the product.  You can see the delight on his face.  His tee shirt has the fern, a kiwi icon with the words underneath "Life is full of difficult choices"  I need to point out this is the totally NZ recipe, and must stress nothing at all like the awful excuse for Marmite that was imported from the Northern Hemisphere!!!!!

Marmite is a love or hate spread - we love it and Aidan who lives in Townsville Australia has it on his toast daily.  Since the earthquakes in ChCh (some two years ago) the building and the processing ceased.  It was only recently that it hit the shelves again - a very long wait.  

PS....he emailed another photo over of a snake wound around and through their fence - shudders!!
