A Cuill(in) Day

Abair sealladh - what a view to wake up to.

After yesterday's excursions we decided to stay closer to base today.

After a leisurely breakfast we admired the view some more and then made our way to a nearby otter holt. We saw otter poo but no otters.

We then followed the coastal path to the memorial (to a first world war one pilot) on Cnoc na h-Aodain where we were rewarded with fantastic views all round. We then returned cross country back to Doune which was tough going - boggy with lots of the focus.

We spent the afternoon sat outside - chatting with fellow guests, looking at the view (which changes regularly as the weather and light changed) with a potter to see the hens (some of whom were foraging in seaweed).  I took another trip to otter holt but no luck. I wasn't expecting any and the walk with views of several little bays was a reward in itself.

Another tasty meal followed but we are all tired and so have retreated back to our respective rooms.

The forecast is rough for tomorrow so we will be hunkering down.
