Stuck in Cheltenham

Len had marked his medical procedure on the kitchen calendar for 28th September. Thus we drove to Cheltenham today where it was to be done. When he got to reception, he was told that it was the wrong day, it should have been the 29th. Staff recommended that he book a hotel. All very well but we had Basil with us. How many hotels are dog friendly?

Luckily, my uncle David lives in Cheltenham having retired from GCHQ and was able to put us up overnight.

While Len was at the clinic, Basil and I headed along the road towards the Meadow Café at the corner of Cox's Meadow. Lots of snowberries and an intriguing iron gate shutting off Thirlstaine Hall. I made a double exposure.

After Len fetched us, we stopped at Sainsbury's on the way to Prestbury to buy ourselves food and wine.
