Cinema in the Woods

Today was our monthly date night (#4) which was a trip to 'Kinema'; a cinema in the woods. Was certainly an interesting experience, if not quite bizarre!

When we arrived - 45 minutes early as we were not sure what to expect - there was only 1 other car there and the setting seemed like something out a horror movie. Masses of trees and a big, derelict and boarded-up building next to the tiny cinema.

Once people started to arrive it became more comfortable and as doors opened it reminded James of his old boss's small, quirky cinema in Southwold, Suffolk.

We watched Iron Man 3 - which was very good - and it even had an interval midway through with a classic organ player who popped up through the stage - a bizarre interlude considering we were in the middle of watching Iron Man 3, not a theatre show.

Anyway, it was a great film and a lovely evening in a unique setting so well worth it. Even treated ourselves to a pizza on the way home. Naughty!
