Enjoy Every Sandwich

It was a rainy home PSU football game day, and our local Boy Scouts were selling hoagies at County Christian Preschool: $7 for either an Italian or a turkey hoagie. We drive over to get them early, as they start selling them at 7 a.m. and sometimes they sell out fast. We bought two, one to split for lunch, and one for supper. No cooking today!

They pack them to travel, which means that some assembly is required. The meat and cheese are on the hoagie already: heavy on meat, a bit light on cheese. The lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles are all provided in little plastic baggies. We added a bit of sliced cheddar cheese to the sandwich and a sprinkle of parmesan on top. In this case, assembly was provided by me.

My soundtrack song is from the album Enjoy Every Sandwich, in honor of Warren Zevon. The tune is Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me. On the album it's sung by Jackson Browne with Bonnie Raitt. I'm including the Linda Ronstadt version here too, because it's awfully good.
