Thru a photographer's eye

Another perennial

As an admirer of well-kept gardens and the natural world – but not an expert in naming every species (!) – I'd have described this as a cypress tree were it not for the fact that it's bushes grown as hedging here. Expert topiary, methinks. Anyway, the bountiful seeds or 'fruit' (?) pods caught my eye.

Oriental arborvitae, Biota Orientalis or Platycladus are the Latin-based names. In Spanish, its nomenclature links it to China, and the colloquial term is 'tree of life', for reasons that seem pretty clear, given its apparent affinity to reproducing itself! :-).
