Pittosporum

We have a very tall Pittosporum tree in the garden. Most garden examples seem to be quite low reaching shrubs.

The seed pods burst open to reveal the seeds which exude a black, sticky, tarry substance.  I believe it helps propagation by the seeds sticking to the feathers or fur of passing animals.
