Tick, Tock, Clock Keys

I came across this in a box this afternoon - it's a Pin Art Pinscreen  - an invention of the 1980's.  Push an object into the pins and create an instant 3D art sculpture!
As you can see, this has been well used over the years and is showing signs of age.  The question is - should I put it back in the box ?
