My daughter's magnolia, and red bud

Her yard is always so full of color and beauty...which it should be since she is a horticulturist!!! I know the magnolia tree will last such a short while it had to be the blip today....already the ground is covered with the petals and some branches are bare.....


One of my mother's favorite poems seems appropriate today....so here is her favorite verse of this A.E. Housman poem:

And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.




It isn't a cherry, but the feeling is the same!!
