Trucks

Lex and Doug had bought two new trucks for the boys, a transport truck and an excavator, and once they saw them everything else became totally insignificant.  They played with those trucks all afternoon and after dinner, and insisted on taking the trucks home with them.  Here is a moment when Max decided he needed a breather, so he lay down with a soft toy and his thumb in his mouth.  Sam kept playing with Doug.  They boys asked me to read with them a couple of times, which was lovely as usual.

This was the first time I wore the new hearing aids at our family gathering and it was good to be able to hear people's voices even from across the room.  But the more the ambient noise, the harder it is to understand what they're saying.  I need to reschedule that follow-up appointment with the audiologist to make some adjustments.
