Never Rains in the Pub

Ooft.

Having polished off most of what we thought was going to last us three days in a single session, the hangover wasn't quite as bad as I'd feared. Either that or we were still drunk.

Our usual Saturdays up here normally consisted of walking a couple of miles down to St. Fillans and The Drummond hotel but that seems to have become another victim of the recession and it hasn't opened this season. On the drive up we passed through another nearby village where the local hotel was all boarded up too. Sad to see and no doubt a blow for these small communities.

So, with the weather being so grim we headed instead over to the site's local for some pub grub and some pints before heading back to the van for some pints, a game of cards and a bit of a sing-song.

A scoosh of Lynx and off for more singing with a cracking turn back up at the Stag's Head before flaking out for a good night's sleep. All that fresh air and exercise - walking between drinking establishments and lifting heavy pint glasses - is pretty exhausting.
