ATR 72 an Blue Skies

Some lovely sunny spells throughout the day, along with some showers, heavy at times.  Not an overly wind, but a cold wind, calmer tonight.

Another early shift in the airport today.  Again, I started on the check-in desk, and then moved to meeting and boarding flights.  Our first flight was delayed due to de-icing in ABZ, that time of year again.  A fine lazy evening at home, with some walkies with Sammy.  New medication settled better last night and today.

A fine morning to be out working on the apron.  Loganair have just announced they are selling all their smaller Saab 340s, and replacing them with the ATRs.  The 340s are great aeroplanes, and well suited for our weather in Shetland (especially in fog), but sadly they have grown old, like the rest of us.  The ATRs are far more fuel efficient, quicker and hold more passengers, and are nice looking planes.  This is ATR 72, Tango Alpha, shortly after arriving from ABZ this morning, with Acule and Adrian, at Sumburgh Airport.
