THAT’S NOT LA TRAVIATA

I took this Blip in a friend’s courtyard, while waiting for her. She has a wide variety of interesting garden art. These little FROGS were in here fountain.

We went to see a simulcast
of the NY Met’s matinee of LA TRAVIATA,
at a movie theater in a nearby town. So we saw the performance as it was actually
being performed. I was amazed that the theater here was almost sold out, even though it started at 10:00AM.

The performance was dazzling, tragic & breathtaking at the same time. At intermission Renee Fleming interviewed the cast, then a historian gave background about previous NY Met performances.
The role of Violeta requires the singer to have a masterly vocal range & amazing
acting talent. Nadine Sierra was brilliant.

What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
