Common Redpoll

My first photo of a Common (or Mealy) Redpoll. They were sitting very nicely on the fence wire enjoying the sunshine and were reasonably  tame as I think most Redpolls are. There were around a half dozen of them and they are described as "Rare, but increasing, breeding summer resident and common migrant" in my Shetland birdbook. The "Red" can be seen clearly in the extra.
