Inside the Visto Lounge

Jacqui was clearing weirs at Clennon Valley so I walked to Torquay in misty light drizzle. The best place to be was inside my favourite cafe. First though on Radio 4 I listened to a story about a woman who collects abandoned random shopping lists. I have been scouting around for a good subject for a PhD. What a sociological treasure. She has about 200 and they are on display in the Museum of Brands in London.

‘Apparently the display provides us with an intimate look at our consumer behaviours in the 21st Century.’ I told Jacqui about it later and triumphantly she found an old shopping list at the bottom of a bag for life.
