Sunshine . . .

The day dawned dull and grey but by early afternoon the clouds parted and the sun poured through.
Bloods were taken around 10.30 am and Y then saw the haematologist, a very pleasant young man who was delighted with her results so no blood required today. We then went off to try and get an earlier radiation slot to find the machine had broken down over night (they work until midnight as there are so many folk having radiation at this unit, because of its good reputation) and we'd need to wait half an hour. We did as this was preferable to going back to the cottage and then running out later when there might be load shedding!
I explored the garden and found a couple of flowers and some flies.
The 'toppie' - bulbul - (bird) flew off the mulberry tree just as I clicked...so almost got it in flight! Surprised myself..... Lots more birds in the garden today enjoying the plums as they ripen.  Even saw the funny little barbet again but it is very shy.
We enjoyed a late lunch in sunshine on the verandah. Supper will need to be cooked and eaten earlier as there is load shedding from 8.00 pm - 10.30 pm today so we won't be able to watch the next few sessions of the Crown.
