...how do they know where the damage will be?

In other news - the land rover is poorly. Had it out yesterday. When I parked it in the drive I thought "That's and interesting burny smell".

I lifted the bonnet (or hood, if you are in the colonies) and the smell became a lot more burny. I left it to cool down. Today I fired it up again sitting in the drive and let it come up to temperature. All tickety boo. So I reckon the recent brakes upgrade is binding. A quick run out tomorrow will confirm or failing that the 4lb lump hammer is coming out the toolbox.
