Kindness...

...in Todmorden.

Backblip 3

Some time overnight the rain eventually stopped, and our first view of the day was the sun rising behind Emley Mast. After breakfast MrM and I said goodbye to Jimmy and Sheena and drove through Yorkshire to Todmorden, where we stopped for a while and wandered around the town, passing this on the way. We bought vittles for lunch, and arrived back at the van as the drizzle started.

A short drive later and we were in Hebden Bridge, where we parked up and went for another walk around. A coffee shop beckoned, and we both gave in to temptation and each had a slice of chocolate cake, even though we'd just eaten. Hmmm! Sometimes MrM is not a good influence!

We indulged in some window shopping, and as we were making our way back to the van spotted a friend, Terry, on the other side of the road. It was raining by then, but we stopped to chat anyway and were soaked by the time we got into the van!

Next stop was Leeds (via the scenic route of course, and through Skipton and Ilkely) to pick up Lucy, who's coming to stay for the weekend. Finally back home, stopping in Richmond on the way for fish & chips. A long day...
