Memories

I'd finished watching `The English' the previous evening, which ends with a `Wild-West' performance taking place in the UK.  I was reminded of this book of anecdotes about people and places in Castleford (where I was born and had family) and the title of the book.  Was it really true?  I think I remember my dad saying something about it as well - he wouldn't have seen it, bit it clearly was a story passed down through the generations.  In the late 70's early 80's an Organisation called Yorkshire Arts Circus did a lot of very valuable work in documenting people's lives and the places people lived in. in what is known as the Five Towns area: Castleford, Pontefract, Featherstone, Normanton and Knottingley,
