Just a Rose

A kind friend gave me a beautiful bunch of pink roses.
This morning was spent in St Andrews, firstly at a hospital appointment, then shopping at Aldi, (carefully limiting my purchases to the cash in my pocket as I have no bank cards until new ones arrive), then Geordie and I went along the West Sands for a walk. It was bracing and the tide was in, and there are certainly no cobwebs left on us.
This evening we have my friends’ whippet for a sleepover, while they take their greyhound to Glasgow vet hospital with a suspected stroke. Poor Eilidh is a beautiful, young, rescued ex-racer, so fingers crossed she has a chance of making a good recovery.
