Sunday 24 May 2009: Wilhelmshaven

Today we went to Wilhelmshaven in Germany to pick up some cargo for the Thialf and 400.000 litres of fuel for ourselves. The weather was beautiful today and for us, being onshore since three weeks, it was the first warm day. Wilhelmshaven is a naval port and you can smell the navy traditions here. We moored just opposite to the Marinemuseum and very close to the former Bundesmarine destroyer Mölders as you can see on this picture. Tomorrow we'll get our fuel and fresh provisions and then we'll heading back for the Thialf
