A wise old owl
A day of catching up and doing much laundry after our houseful over the weekend!
This afternoon we were asked for help by our daughter-in-law because the family’s printer was playing up and she needed to print off a couple of poems for our five-year old granddaughter’s homework. L has to learn the one about the wise old owl off by heart.
We were happy to oblige, and spent a pleasant hour and a half walking to their house and back through Knighton Wood to deliver the printing. Unfortunately we didn’t see any owls in there, but when the sun came out from the clouds and shone low through the trees on our way back, today’s blip was sorted.
A wise old owl
A wise old owl sat in an oak,
The more he heard the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why aren’t we all like that wise old bird?
