Sis and Me

A trip out of town to Broughton to meet up with the sister and her man who we haven’t seen all year, for a variety of health related and other reasons. But here she is, with her walking stick but otherwise in very good spirits - and the big news is that all being well (and serious fingers being crossed here) she’ll be a grandmother come early June. I’m very pleased indeed for her. So we enjoyed the soup and crusty roll (pensioners’ choice, that)  followed by coffee and cake. As you should. And then back up the road through the rain.
And early enough home for a long film. What about this RRR - the Indian film on Netflix which is at no7 in the Guardian’s films of the year? Let’s just say we weren’t quite ready for it. Hammy acting, terrible CGI and ludicrous action. It’s actually for children. Over to All Quiet on the Western Front, the new version. Yes, now, that’s a watch.
