Lucian Freud"s studio wall

I went to the National Gallery today with my youngest daughter, whose birthday it was, to see the Lucian Freud exhibition. Not for the faint hearted if you are squeamish about seeing flesh represented as  vividly (some might say grotesquely) as Freud painted it. I thought it was a very well presented exhibition of the different phases of his long career, and he was a unique artist. At the end of the exhibition is what I assumed was a large scale photograph of one of his studio walls. He used to wipe excess paint off his brushes on to the walls before cleaning them. He was not an abstract artist but this is very much like an abstract painting.
