Inner Temple Garden London 21/12/22

Tucked away in the noise and bustle of the City of London is the Inner Temple - between Fleet Street and the Embankment.
Started by the Military Order of the Knights Templar building a church in the mid 12th century, the Temple church, the area was taken over when the Order was abolished in 1312 by lawyers who set up the societies of the Inner Temple and Middle Temple. By the 15th century there were 4 Inns of Court  - Lincoln’s Inn, Gray’s Inn, Inner Temple and Middle Temple. By the end of the 16 th century these had developed into their present form.
