Ginger

After a fruitless attempt at securing some sprouts I had a Christmas Eve walk out along the Bank. 

I came across this character as  I came back into the village proper. I thought it was Bert, a regular visitor to the shops up and down the street nearby, but in checking for this post I learned the sad news that Bert had died a few months ago. Perhaps Bert had an apprentice in training, and this is the new community ginger cat. Our first cat when I was growing up was a ginger, so I always like seeing them.

And with that, I wish you all a peaceful Christmas, and hope you had better luck than I finding sprouts.
