Hraunfossar

We went for a drive today, looking for some caves that we had not visited before. Unfortunately the road to the caves was closed due to melting ice or something, and we did not feel like leaving the car and walking the 9 kilometres, so we decided to rather revisit two of our favourite waterfalls, Barnafoss and Hraunfossar. This is Hraunfossar, it is different from a normal waterfall since the water does not come cascading down from a height, but flows out of the lava in dozens of places. We were very lucky that the sun shone for the time we walked around the waterfalls, shortly after it was pouring with rain. Typical Icelandic weather, no wonder they say if you don´t like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change.
