Blorenge

Out on another walk after a lovely pub stay. It was raining then sleeting then snowing all within about 5 minutes. It then cleared up and the sun came out but it was fresh, just above freezing!

This is right above Blaenavon, now an Industrial heritage sight and location of the Big Pit museum which is a fascinating place.

Spoil heaps and industrial heritage is all over the place. We had a good walk but I’d like to come back and run/walk the Iron Mountain trail, which looks an interesting challenge.

The other image is from the end of Blorenge overlooking Abergavenny and Ysgirrid fawr (in the background) which is a good walk in itself. As you can see the sun was out but it was still blowing a hoolie!
