Winter Light

The sun showed its face today and we were able to get out in time to see it.

It felt strange without my digital camera, but I remembered quickly how it felt to shoot film again. Ron took Linc and Beta on a walk and I was able to be alone for a while to shoot the landscape.

The light was beautiful. Red kites circled above and a sort of golden glow covered the empty arms of trees in the Japanese garden. We ran through the garden maze and examined a fallen tree that may have been struck by lightning.

Linc found a caterpillar in this photo above. He was sat there on the hill in the winter light and I just loved the jagged shadows creeping up on his toes.
