Conningbrook Lake

Another back-blip: I took a lot of photos this day, saved them in their own folder, spent a long time selecting and editing, and failed to decide which to share and upload them and they slowly slipped my memory. Had I posted them at the time, there would have been several extras, as it was a lovely afternoon for a walk at this former gravel pit on the edge of Ashford, now a country park. The afternoon light and the stillness of the water gave beautiful reflections, and before we left the waterside trees and rushes were silhouetted against the reflection of a golden sunset. It was a new discovery for us, and a place to which we will definitely return.
