Signs of life

Stella looked briefly baffled to find herself in the side garden - with good reason, as it's been a while. 

Almost straight away, she found a lost toy. Delighted, she played with it until she found a rotten potato. Tempted by its tasty foulness, she proceeded to lose the toy again. 

The garden furniture and barbecue were looking a bit weather-beaten, so I belatedly put them in the shed for protection. The buds on the pear trees reminded me they won't be stowed away for very long.
