Tiny Little Rudy

This is a very young red squirrel; probably born last spring.  He doesn't have quite the nervous energy as the others either and sometimes comes right up to the door when I talk to him.  He often puts his paws on the glass and looks right in.  Only a thin piece of glass separating us.  So precious.  If he's on the porch when I go out to fill the bowls the other squirrels skedaddle, but he will only retreat to the top stair and watches me closely.  He's not afraid.  It makes me smile.
