Photographic Poeticisms

Stillness

When all about you is madness
Be still
Sit and watch the tide of humanity
Flow betwixt door and gate
Ravaging like ant plague
Discarding the corpses of a million lunches
Like a snow fall
Littering the pavements and hedges
Blasting out like a fanfare
Their cholesterol figures
Make his a big one
The bigger the better
Have it to go
Supersize him
Harden his arteries
Like the hardened hearts of those
Who push
This drug
This grease saturated dung

Sit
Be still
Watch the wind blow the restless leaves
The clouds shoot overhead
Loaded
With water bombs
Destined for picnic land
There to create a carnage of desperation
To plaster summer frock against screaming chest
Shorts against sodden thigh
To return once again
Tuna to its watery birthplace
Swimming amongst cucumber suns
Diving, forever lost into mud sea
While Henry screams
In horror and despair
As un-roofed pride and joy
Turns to leather padded jacuzzi

Be still
Sit
And contemplate
While others rant
And pencil in
Meetings of meaningless, mind-numbing tedium
Discussing endlessly
Which end of the pencil to write with
How many paper clips should be allocated
To the office junior
Watch the headless chickens
Scrabble amongst the detritus of their predecessors
For that one precious
Grey
Circle
That, stuck on their personal planner
Says
They have a reason to live

Sit quietly
Be still
And think
Watch
Observe
Be
Yourself

And
Laugh!

Horrible weather today, rain, cold wind, hailstones, hot sun. Bardy stayed in the greenhouse for the most part while I played food ferryman. He ate well though and rubbed into me a couple of times so he's content enough.
