El Día de los Reyes Magos

The 6th January is el Día de los Reyes Magos, Three Kings Day. Children in Spain don't get presents from Santa on Christmas Day, the three kings bring them gifts at Epiphany. The day before there are parades all over Spain when the three kings arrive after their long journey from the East.
This is yesterday's parade at Puerto del Carmen. The kings arrived by boat in the harbour then hopped on their camels and headed to the square nearby where they accepted letters from the children. It was a lot of fun. I particularly like the two cheerful dragons in the extra.

I didn't post this yesterday though as I was struck down by a lurgy. Feeling much better today thankfully.
