MonoMonday: "Nine"

Thanks to Skeena who's looking after MonoMonday and who'd like to see "9".

The benches at our local shopping centre have 9 wooden slats on them so I took a photo of one this morning. The problem was that the colour of the slats was very similar to that of the paving behind the bench and I wanted to increase the contrast between them. This meant selecting the slats (and the supports) - a task which proved too much for even the new selection algorithms in Lightroom and Photoshop: hence I spent far too long doing it manually and if you look closely you'll see that my hand wobbled a bit! However I ended up with something like the effect I wanted :-)
