Monarch Butterfly Wing?

I've been cleaning out kitchen cupboards today.

And throwing things away that we haven't used since we moved here.

I'd just made a trip to the bin, when I saw this spiraling down towards me.

At first, I thought it was a leaf.  But there are no trees near the bin.

Then I thought it was an insect, but no insect flies like that.

Then it landed on the bin.

To me it looks like part of a Monarch Butterfly's wing.

We released a number of Monarch butterflies in memory of Christian when he died.

I haven't seen one for ages.

But I've been talking to Christian a lot lately.  Maybe this is a sign to say he hears me.

I do hope so.
