It occurred to me today that this rusty old horseshoe must've lain on the step of the old farm building next door since we've been in the house.

I know they're meant to bring good luck if you hang one with the points facing up, and bad luck if they're facing down. But I'm not sure what kind of luck you can expect from one that's just generally lying around. 

Regardless, seems a shame to move it after all these years.
