Having to wear jeans to enter the Basilica is a crazy rule when its 32 degrees. What's even crazier are the suits who walk around cool as cucumbers - how do they do it? Another informative day, although I find it somewhat depressing that so many buildings of the ancient era were stripped out or melted down by the church; the doors of the Forum are now located in the Basilica of St. Giovanni, for example.
