Did I mention she was an animal lover???

I may be taking my life in my hands posting this pic, but it was my fav of the day, and also the 8th anniversary of turning 39...

This brown Pelican was on the little wharf for about 3 hours. Initially I thought it was hurt or sick, but during its extended stay it would periodically dive into the water and catch fish, fly short distances, and ultimately flew away seemingly with ease. Many people had their pic taken with the Pelican, and when the world travelling nurse found a spot amongst all the others to give some scratches, I couldn't resist.
