I went to look for reflections in the water

... and came back with this Goosander portrait.  They were a bit far away for the lens I was using but this one was a bit more obliging than the others.  

Worsbrough Dam this lunchtime - I think 8 Merganser in total, an active grey wagtail on the stones above the Dam and a Dabchick/ Little Grebe in the sluice corner.  The small group of four that came back towards the Dam were (I think) females, but the couple who stopped me to ask if I'd seen them said they'd spotted males too.

Maybe I'll take my OM1 and 300mm lens tomorrow and try again.
