Bye bye boiler

We were looking forward to the arrival of staff from Scottish Gas this afternoon, hoping for a speedy repair to our sick boiler and the return of central heating to our draughty flat. Unfortunately, over the course of a 2+ hour visit, the workman discovered several problems with the boiler. These included fried electronics and a minor gas leak. He disconnected the condemned device and has arranged for us to speak to one of his colleagues next week to determine our next steps.

It looks like we will be without central heating for at least another two weeks. We will soon be very used to sticking to the use of just two rooms during the day. The kitchen and the sitting room are comfortable enough heated by our fan heaters, the gas fire, and the oven when we cook.

Jon was well wrapped up when came over for games this evening. We played three rounds of Catan. Jon won two, and Mr hazelh one.

Traitors US had provided our other entertainment of the day.

Exercise today: 40 minutes on the exercise bike.
