WHITE FOR PEACE - 65 YEARS

We left East-Jerusamlem at 01 o'clock today. A special day to leave Palestine, a day that is referred to as the "Day of the Catastrophe".

When Israel was declared as an independent state 14. May 1948, and during the 1948 an estimated 700,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled, and hundreds of Palestinian villages were depopulated and destroyed. These refugees and their descendants number several million people today, and we have met this 48-refugee in Lebanon in October last year.

I'm sorry that we had to leave Palestine, we are leaving a very trouble people with great dignity and a desperate need for the world to force the Israeli to end the occupation and get the occupant and the occupied to start the peace process. 65 years is far to long!

I wish I could take shots from what happened to us at the airport, but since that is forbidden I blip these white flowers in our garden that had just started to bloom when I left to Palestine.
