Raised Beds and how to avoid Blip Sign up page!

Raised Beds indeed, this is one of the raised Vegetable beds that Pete from Petes Grow Your Own has built for us, they are just waiting for a bulk delivery of compost to fill them up a little.

Well I've been MIA (missing in action) from Blip for around 6 weeks now, I have still been taking photos everyday but just like last time a few really really busy days preceding a generally busy period led to back log of post processing. But I'm back and here to stay my 365 is not far away and I want to go all out for the 730 and more. I have loved the Blip experience and have missed it a lot. I hope to get caught up on everyone's goings on over the next few weeks and comment etc were needed!

Two important things seam to have happened in the Bilp'verse in my absence; The orphaned works copyright law aka the Corporate Pirates Charter. Sign the petition here http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/49422 this is also why you will see I have water marked my images, something that irritates me but seams necessary anywhere on line and essential on facebook!

The Second thing is Blips slightly annoying you can only view X many Blips without signing up. I can understand the many reasons for this, however it prevents many non-Blip friends and family from viewing my Blips. I understand that they want people to sign up and increase the community, I would like to see them join and start Blipping too, but many many wont and will in fact no doubt loose interest in Blip as a result of this change.

So here is how to get around the Sign up box.

In Google Chrome:
1. Right Click on the Blip webpage any were in the black section
2. From the Drop down menu select "view page info"
3. A pop up will appear, select "show cookies and site data"
4. Next Click on each of the Blipfoto cookies and then bit the block button at the bottom of the window, do this for each of the two cookies.
5. Press the "Close" button at the bottom right.
5. Finally go back to the Blip web page and press the refresh button, or hold down the "ctrl" key on your keyboard and the press the "f5" key.

You have now blocked Blip from using cookies and it can now no longer recognise how many blips you have viewed or track anything you do. This can be done on any website and is very useful.

In Firefox:
1. Right Click on the Blip webpage any were in the black section
2. From the Drop down menu select "view page info"
3. A pop up will appear, with four tabs along the top, click on the third one in called "Permissions".
4. The Third option down should be called "Set Cookies" immediately under it you will have a box "Use Default" Un-check that box.
5. On the same line to the right three Previously Gray options should now have turned black, click on "Block"
6. Close the pop up via the cross in the top right hand corner.
7. Finally go back to the Blip web page and press the refresh button, or hold down the "ctrl" key on your keyboard and the press the "f5" key.

If you need Instructions for Opera or Safari let me know.

If your using Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Your don't deserve to see Blip, upgrade to a decent Browser!

Happy Blip-Stalking people!
