By the Shore

A trip out to the Farmer’s Market along at Leith. The SK was cock-a-hoop. Haddock roe was available. Woe is me (I exaggerate - it's lovely. It is). Then a stroll back along the tracks to Newhaven. Trams in spring? Well, it may happen, but summer looks more likely, I’d say, if I was a betting person, which I’m most definitely not.
Later, back along to Ocean Terminal to see The Fabelmans. A Spielberg tour-de-force which grows in strength throughout its 151 minutes. You’ve got to say, he can make a decent movie, that fellah.
And afterwards, Pizza Express. It’s been too long since we did that, my old friend.
And goodbye Tom Verlaine.
I remember
Ooh, how the darkness doubled
That was an album, all right. And what times.
